Hello Loved Ones,
This week has been a great one! I am one year older... 21 years old! YIKES! I think I'll stop here, thanks.
Birthdays on the mission are the best. I heard the "happy birthday" song in three different languages! I really wasn't expecting much because I really hadn't told anyone about my birthday. I didn't realize that the newsletter of the mission has a birthday of the month section. I awoke to a Chilian, a Puruvian, and a Brazilian singing in 3 different languages! they learned the english version for me! We had stake conference that day and afterward a "family home evening" at the home of a member. Or at least this is what I was told. I prepared a lesson and everything.
I was under the impression we were starting the Family Night, bu then all of the sudden Paula walks in with a big chocolate cake! It was one of the most touching moments of my mission. It doesn't matter the place, members all over the world give so much for the missionaries. We had a party with cake and my favorite, "coshinhas" (little fried doughy things stuffed with chicken). they are heavenly! It wasn't sushi, but it was perfect.
Even better?? We had Paulo's baptism for my birthday! It was so perfect. As I bore my testimony, I told Paulo about Riley and Levi. I told him how special the preisthood is. He has the opportunity to hold the same power that healed the sick and raised the dead, parted the sea and moved mountains. Everytime he will pass the sacrament, we will be acting as Christ did on his last day on earth. I am so grateful for the priesthood and that I have three men in my family that honorably hold the priesthood.
Everyone give a big PARA BENS to my mom and dad for getting me to 21. Contrary to what they would have you believe, it wasn't easy! ha ha
I love you all so much! Have a wonderful week!
